Are we at a particular juncture in the history of design and design activism? Are the effects of Peak Oil, global economic recession, transnational migration, the Arab spring and governmental policy crises conspiring to produce new ways of designing? What are these or what will they be? How might we study these in different ways? Or will it be ‘business as usual’?
These are some of the questions a special discussion panel will confront at the end of Day 3 (Friday 9 September). Panelists will be Jody Boehnert Roel Klaassen, Ben Singleton and Troels Degn Johannson, with Paul Micklethwaite chairing.
